This course will explore the relationship between the profession of physical therapy and adaptive sporting, specifically adaptive rock climbing. It will explore the commonality and the divergence of the profession and the sphere of adaptive sports. Following a research-based exploration of this topic, the course will explore community-based organizations and the role of PT’s in groups like Adaptive Climbing Group. There will be an interactive portion to this course for in-person attendees to see equipment and techniques used in adaptive rock climbing.
