Brooklyn/Staten Island District | Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
Sunday, October 25, 2026 (8:00 AM - 12:30 PM) (EDT)
Description
Brooklyn & Staten Island PTs & PTAs Making a Difference Together
Join the Brooklyn/Staten Island District as the physical therapy community comes together in support of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk!
We’re bringing together PT and PTA students, practicing PTs and PTAs, faculty, alumni, colleagues, friends, family, and supporters from across Brooklyn and Staten Island for a day centered around community and an important cause.
The goal is to build a strong Brooklyn/Staten Island APTA team that represents the many schools, practices, professionals, and members of the physical therapy community throughout the district. Whether you’re joining alongside classmates, coworkers, friends and family, or coming on your own, everyone is welcome to walk and make an impact together.
7:45am: Meet our APTA New York team at Maimonides Park
8:00am: Walk begins!
One Community. One Cause. One Step at a Time.
Breast cancer touches the lives of patients, families, friends, and communities throughout Brooklyn and Staten Island. As PTs and PTAs, supporting others is at the heart of what we do. This walk is another opportunity to extend that support beyond the clinic and come together as a profession and community for those impacted by breast cancer.
Join the Brooklyn/Staten Island PT community and see what an impact we can make when we walk together!
